Rivers we grew
up on.
Foca sits at the confluence of the Cehotina and the Drina, in the far east of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Tara comes down from Montenegro to join them; the Sutjeska drops out of the national park to the south. Four rivers, all within half an hour of town, all cold and clear enough to see the bottom in most places.
What this water does not have is pressure. On a normal day you will see nobody else fishing. There are no beats to book, no rotation, no queue for the good runs — we simply drive to whichever river is fishing best that morning and start.
Two or three rods a day, never more. That is not a marketing line, it is what the water can hold without everyone standing on top of each other. If you are a group of four or more, we can still work it out, but we will spread you over two guides or two days.
Catch and release is standard practice. You go home with photographs.
