At a glance

The course

The course is around 60 km long. On the Drina it runs upstream from the gravel pit near Paunci (left bank) or Jošanica (right bank) to the confluence of the Tara and Piva, at the Hum–Šćepan Polje border crossing. On the Ćehotina it covers both banks from the confluence with the Drina upstream to the border with Montenegro, above the village of Vikoč. Anglers may fish anywhere on the course, on either river.

Rules in short

1. Anglers fish in pairs or groups so that catches can be filmed and photographed, but scoring is individual.
2. After paying the entry fee, each competitor receives a numbered ID card, a measuring tape and a measuring mat.
3. A fish is measured from the tip of the mouth to the end of the tail, and photographed or filmed next to the ID card.
4. After measuring, the fish must be released at the spot where it was caught, and the release must be filmed.
5. Catches are reported to the organisers by phone or Viber, with the video.
6. Ranking is based on points scored.
7. The organiser has the final word on the rules.
